why not ask?

We’ve seen the Lord provide in amazing ways before. So why not ask again?

Here’s the deal. I took supper to a friend who had a baby yesterday afternoon. I backed out of her driveway. I put the car in drive, and my transmission went out. I was able to put it in the lowest gear and crawl home (thankfully we were in our neighborhood). But the transmission is blown. Done.

The cost of repairs is close to the value of the car. So what to do? Fix or Replace?

Friends, please pray with us. For wisdom, for peace and for the Lord to provide. Maybe for a grandma-driven minivan.

Why not ask?

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
~Luke 11:11-13

  1. Oh man! So sorry you have to deal with this stress. Poor Whitie. 😦 Is she in good shape otherwise? Are there other repairs looming? If you pay to fix it, will she last you a few more years, or would it just be a bandaid on a bigger problem?

  2. friend, you know i’m standing beside you in prayer.

  3. Indescribable! That’s the Love of our Heavenly Father for you, and for your honest prayer for help! I am on the prayer wagon (hmmm…
well-loved.volvo wagon with a third seat??), beloved daughter-in-love!
